This is another classic cookie that's easy to make and is GREAT for Christmas goodie-giving!
1 c. butter
1/3 cup powdered sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Cream butter and sugar together; beat till fluffy. Add vanilla and beat well. Stir in flour and nuts. Shape into 1-inch balls and place on greased cookie sheet. Bake in 325 degree oven until BARELY golden. Cool thoroughly. Roll cookies in 1/4 c. powdered sugar. Repeat, if desired.
